This Privacy Policy describes how Sacred Peru Retreats collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information provided by visitors to our website and guests on our Experiences. By using our website or booking an Experience, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. WHO WE ARE

Sacred Peru Retreats is based in Cusco, Peru. We offer intimate, small-group guided Experiences that include traditional indigenous ceremonies, sacred site visits, and cultural immersion in the Peruvian Andes.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information in two ways: information you provide to us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit our website or booking pages.

Information You Provide Directly:

- Contact information: your name, email address, and phone or WhatsApp number, submitted through booking forms, contact forms, discovery call requests, or direct messages.

- Booking details: the names of the guests in your party, your pickup accommodation in Cusco, an emergency contact, dietary requirements or food allergies, and whether any guest is under 18.

- Health and accessibility information: whether anyone in your party would like to discuss an accessibility need, health concern, or restriction on physical activity, and any details you choose to share with us about it. We do not ask for detailed medical history when you book.

- Travel document details: passport details, only when they are required to purchase named entry tickets, permits, or rail tickets for your Experience, such as Machu Picchu or the Inca Trail.

- Your signed Experience Agreement, including your acknowledgment of the cancellation terms and release, and your choice on whether we may use photos or video of you.

- Payment information: your financial details are processed by our third-party payment provider. Sacred Peru Retreats does not store your full card or banking information.

- Communications: any messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, text, or form.

Information Collected Automatically:

Our website is hosted on Wix, and our booking pages and forms are provided through GoHighLevel. These platforms automatically collect certain technical data, including your IP address and approximate location, browser type and device information, pages visited and time spent on the site, and the referring website, search query, or campaign link. This data is collected through standard web analytics tools and cookies.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to arrange and deliver your Experience, including confirming your date, arranging pickup, purchasing any required tickets or permits, and preparing your guide; to keep you safe, using health, accessibility, and emergency contact information only to plan your Experience safely and to respond if something goes wrong; to communicate with you, including booking confirmations, pickup details, and preparation information; to process payments and refunds; to improve our services using aggregated website data; to measure and show our advertising, where advertising partners such as Meta and Google use website activity to measure our ads and show them to people who have visited our site; and to fulfill legal obligations. We do not share your booking, health, or passport information with advertising partners.

4. SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Any health or accessibility information you share with us, and any passport details, is sensitive. It is accessible only to Sacred Peru Retreats founders and the guides directly involved in your Experience; shared with ticketing, permit, or rail providers only to the extent they require it for your booking; shared with medical or emergency personnel only in the event of a safety concern; never shared with third parties for commercial purposes; and stored securely and deleted when no longer needed. We are not a licensed medical provider, and nothing you share with us creates a clinical relationship.

5. INFORMATION SHARING

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with Experience partners (local guides, transport providers, and ticketing, permit, and rail providers) who need it to deliver your Experience; with service providers that host our website, booking system, and communications, and our payment provider; when required by law; and with emergency responders or medical personnel in a medical emergency or safety situation. Only the minimum necessary information is shared.

6. DATA RETENTION

Contact and communication records are retained for up to 3 years. Health and accessibility information is retained for the duration of your booking and for 2 years following, then securely deleted. Passport details are retained only as long as needed for the tickets or permits they were collected for, and any related record-keeping required by law. Payment records are retained for 7 years for financial record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting info@sacredperuretreats.com. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require retention.

7. COOKIES

Our website and booking pages use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are required for the site and booking pages to function. Analytics cookies, including Google's analytics tag, help us understand how visitors use the site. Marketing cookies are used by advertising partners, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, to measure the results of our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Declining analytics or marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the site, book, or contact us.

8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

California residents (CCPA) have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of their personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Visitors in the European Economic Area (GDPR) have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 9. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Our website and booking system are hosted on secure platforms, and sensitive information is stored with restricted access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to external websites, including social media platforms. This Privacy Policy applies only to sacredperuretreats.com and our booking pages.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Guests under 18 may join an Experience only with a parent or legal guardian, who provides their information and signs the Experience Agreement on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
