Ayahuasca — a brewed plant medicine combining the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and Psychotria viridis leaves, served by Shipibo maestros in traditional ceremony. Held at night. Often described as a deep encounter with ancestral, emotional, and somatic material.

San Pedro (Huachuma) — a cactus medicine of the Andes used in ceremony for over 3,000 years. Served in daylight by Andean lineage holders. Often called the medicine of the heart — a long, gentle opening over the course of a day.

Together, these two medicines hold a complete cosmology: the underworld of the jungle and the upper world of the mountains, the inner journey and the outer pilgrimage.

Bufo (5-MeO-DMT) — available as an add-on at the close of the journey, after the vine and the cactus have done their work. Not offered to everyone. For those who arrive at the final days and know they are ready to go further.

This journey is for you if you feel a quiet but persistent call to plant medicine and want indigenous lineage rather than Western reinterpretation. You are willing to prepare (dietary, emotional, somatic). You understand integration is where the real work happens.

This journey is not for you (right now) if you are on medications incompatible with Ayahuasca (SSRIs, MAOIs, certain heart medications — we will review with you), seeking a recreational psychedelic experience, have an unmanaged psychotic disorder or recent manic episode, are pregnant or nursing, or unwilling to follow the preparation diet.

We turn people away who aren't ready. That is part of what makes us safe.

Medical and medication screening. Every applicant completes a screening before booking is confirmed. SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium, and certain heart and seizure medications are not safely compatible with Ayahuasca. We will tell you honestly if this is not the right moment.

Preparation diet. Two weeks before arrival: no alcohol, no recreational drugs, minimal caffeine, no pork, no red meat, no aged cheese, low sugar.

In-ceremony care. Trained sitters present throughout ceremony.

Integration support through Sacred Healing. Our affiliate sanctuary in Joshua Tree, CA, holds ongoing integration calls in the months following your return — because integration is where the journey actually takes root. We hold ongoing integration calls every Tuesday at 6pm.

There are medicines that work slowly. Over nights. In layers. Ayahuasca asks something of you, and then something more. Huachuma opens the heart across a full day of walking and silence.

Bufo does not ask. It arrives.

Bufo alvarius is a toad native to the Sonoran Desert. Its secretion carries 5-MeO-DMT, one of the most concentrated endogenous compounds found in nature. The experience lasts between fifteen and thirty minutes. In that time, most people describe what cannot be described: a complete dissolution of the boundary between self and everything, followed by a return.

It is offered here, at the close of the retreat, because preparation matters. The ayahuasca and the huachuma do that work. Bufo is not where the work begins. It is what becomes possible after two nights with the vine and a full day with the cactus.

This is for those who arrive at the final days and feel, from somewhere below thought, that there is still something more. Not a desire to collect an experience. Not intellectual curiosity. A pull from something deeper that has been quietly waiting. If you sat with the vine and then with the cactus, and you still sense a door that has not fully opened — this may be what that door is.

It is not offered to everyone. Danny will speak with you directly before the ceremony to understand where you are, what moved through the prior ceremonies, and whether the timing is right. If it is not, he will tell you plainly. That conversation is not always comfortable. It is always honest.

The ceremony is held privately. One person at a time. Full presence throughout. Integration time is held afterward, not added as an afterthought. If you are on SSRIs, antidepressants, or any serotonin-active medication, we will not proceed. Safety is not a disclaimer here. It is the ground beneath everything.

There are no adequate words for what the return carries. Those who have been there recognize it in each other.
